Recently, we were called in to work on an incredible project in Holland Park with the team from Toscano Constructions and CJY Architecture. The project in question was a traditional home design built to new standards which meant us pulling out all the stops, as you’ll see in the rundown below. We love a good challenge, so we hit the ground running with this one and produced some fantastic outcomes for the client that we are immensely proud of. It was a great team effort from all involved.
As mentioned above, this traditional home design needed to be built to new standards, meaning this was an opportunity for us to get creative and let our years of industry expertise shine. The client requested a few changes throughout the project, but we were happy to be super flexible and offered innovative solutions to accommodate all their needs.
Now, let’s talk planning, strategy, and the different kinds of plastering services that were involved.
We love a house that showcases the finer details. For this job, we worked on curtain recess installation in the living areas to hide curtain rods from view. This is such a great idea and adds an extra feel of luxury to any home.
This is one of the achievements we’re most proud of in this project. We worked with the cornice supplier to custom build a mould to continue the Concerto cornice (fancy cornice) wrapping around the curved walls. The cornice was moulded to the radius of the curved stairwell wall, and we absolutely nailed it. The finished traditional home look is super sleek and adds a nice decorative touch to the home.
The final design challenge was working with arched windows that were wrapped in a timber trim, but we were able to finesse this in a way that left the windows super tidy and pleasing to the eye.
Overall, we ended up approaching this project in stages due to a super long lead time for box guttering installation. This was so the job could move forward with other trades in the meantime without any delay on our part.

Due to our technical expertise and flexibility when it came to working in with the builder’s changing schedule due to lead times of other trades and suppliers, our communication and planning skills, and our ability to have our full-time CRA team on-site when needed to avoid any delays, this project helped us cement some fantastic ongoing relationships with the wonderful teams involved. We couldn’t have been happier with the outcome and the client was absolutely chuffed as well.
Massive thanks and congratulations to Toscano Constructions and CJY Architecture for a hugely successful build – we can’t wait to work with you both again in future.
