We partnered with head contractor Bryant Building Contractors for a large-scale redevelopment of a school in Manly, Queensland. The project began two years ago and is nearing completion now.
Darling Point Special School partnered with the Queensland Government and Department of Education for a $26.6 million transformation of the school. The redevelopment was the biggest regeneration of the school since it was demolished and rebuilt in 1986.
Works included a new, state-of-the-art 15-classroom learning centre, a manual arts room, a multipurpose room, a staff collaboration room, outdoor learning areas, student amenities, lifts and storage spaces.
With rising enrollments, the existing facilities were no longer sufficient to meet the school’s needs. The new facilities will support future growth and facilitate effective teaching and learning through the integration of modern digital technologies and a relevant curriculum.
CRA is proud to have provided its services for this project. We deployed a carefully selected team consisting of expert plasterers with commercial experience, and apprentices eager to learn.
This outstanding project for the local community will prioritise the specific needs of the students and provide a dignified and respectful learning environment for all students.
